When JAG premiered on NBC it was not how Donald Bellisario had envisioned it. The network fussed around with his concept, complained about the casting, and after a fairly successful if unspectacular first season dumped the show. But two other networks were ready to pick it up, only this time it was going to be the show Bellisario had wanted to make all along. It ended up running ten seasons with a formula that combined military action with personal drama, courtroom theatrics, and many seasons-long story threads that kept viewers intrigued. A good show became a great show. The stirring theme by Bruce Broughton (one of the most underrated composers in this universe) is pretty much the same through all ten seasons, although the closing credits show some variation. Enjoy a selection of opening titles and two closing credits (the first from NBC's seasons) and watch the cast members change (and grow up to ten years older).
