I wanted to compare a Rockshox Superdeluxe coil rear shock vs a Fox Float X2 air shock on my 2020 Norco Sight Carbon to see which had the best small-bump sensitivity, mid-stroke support, and bottom-out resistance. Finding the right suspension setup is key to making your bike feel and ride faster, and really helps tune the bike for specific terrain. Spoiler alert- The coil wasn't much better, especially given the extra weight! With the Sight's suspension kinematics, the stock air shock feels amazing; those Norco engineers really know what they're doing!
