El taller es una introducción a los derechos básicos en education especial y las responsabilidades de las familias de estudiantes que reciben estos servicios bajo la ley. Los participantes aprenderán: Familiarizarse con el proceso de educación especial y los derechos y responsabilidades de los padres A definir las diferentes partes de un documento de IEP (Programa Educativo Individualizado) y cómo se relacionan entre sí en su conjunto Estrategias de defensoría para ayudarlos a alcanzar las metas de sus estudiantes. --- This workshop is an introduction to basic rights in special education and the responsibilities of families of students receiving these services under the law. Participants will learn: To become familiar with the special education process and the rights and responsibilities of parents; To define the different parts of an IEP (Individualized Education Program) document and how they relate to one another; Advocacy strategies to help them achieve their students' goals.
