The Ford Racing Puma was a limited edition performance model building on the unexpected best selling popularity of the original Ford Puma. (1997-2002) Selling at £23,000, the Racing Puma was a hefty £10,000 more to buy over the standard car. Ford originally intended to make 1000 of these limited edition specials but in the end only made 500, and the one featured in our video was owned by our presenter Kevin Haggarthy who is driving the car. Good Racing Puma’s are hard to find on the market these days but make for a great classic investment if your lucky enough to find one. The Racing Puma still ranks as a ‘driver’s favourite’ due to its excellent chassis, engine, gearbox and looks. Whilst it couldn’t be regarded as ‘fast’ in today’s terms it is a truly engaging performer, exciting and competent.
