This episode features ITA Airways operating from Rome Fiumicino (LIRF) to Turin Caselle (LIMF), ending with an ILS RWY 36 approach in heavy rain and low visibility. Weather conditions in Turin significantly reduced visual cues during the final stages of the approach. Although a flare was initiated before touchdown, it was too shallow, resulting in a hard landing at -446 fpm.
