In the fall of 2014, A Rocha is partnered with the Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada to restore a portion of the Little Campbell River. The river historically meandered through a forested valley. This area was cleared and the river was straightened sometime during the 1970s to enable agricultural use of the river valley for livestock. Due to this alteration, the habitat has become degraded; dominated by non-native invasive plants, there is a lack of native tree cover and less pool hideouts for fish.
