300WSM - F-Open

First real outing with my new 300WSM. Previously sighted in at 50 metres at an indoor range to purely establish a wind zero. Had a rough idea of velocity so threw together two loads to run at 600 metres. Stage 1 shot a 60.8 (60.10 max possible), grouping about 3.7 inches. This stage was tighter, shooting a 66.9 (66.11 max possible) and grouping at 3 inches. Targets are electronic Hexta targets. I took 1st place in both stages and the overall aggregate for the day (scored a Christmas ham and turkey for my trouble!). You can also see rain start to fall towards the end of the shoot too. Hardware consists of: Stock - McMillan Kestros ZR fitted with RAD II system Action - Borden BRMXD, left bolt, right port, left eject, 20moa rail and fully DLC coated Trigger - TriggerTech Diamond Barrel - Krieger, 4 groove, 10 twist finished at 31 and fitted with an Ezell barrel tuner Scope - March Highmaster 10-60x56 with MTR-1 reticle illuminated with Accuracy 1st bubble level Rings - ARC M10 high Front Rest - SEB Mini with Rodzilla top and Bryan Blake stainless feet Rear - Lenzi LR bag on custom plate
