The Scarred weekly continues without a scratch! Those weapons formed against me? Hah! Not prospering! This run is clean and smooth and perfectly handled, though I have my prescriptions, AMPs, and Jammer rig to thank for that. I could and should take some of that credit myself though. I'm not sure the prescriptions, AMPs, and rigs could run the trial on their own. I am also incredibly lucky at the beginning because my entire way from the first bucket of acid to the courtroom is open and clear! I have never seen that before! It is pretty late when I played, recorded, and uploaded this so I didn't try for an uber Performance Bonus like usual. Just a short and sweet therapy session, around the average time Red Barrels states MKs take (15 minutes is the average). That doesn't mean I don't eat all the batteries in my path. Only that I do not go out of my way more often to eat even more batteries! Always remember that there are maps here to guide you where you need to go! Find them, consult them, and learn your way around. Or don't and wander, my way is not the sole way to play. The acid buckets on this trial are stable, I think, always spawning in the same spots. The rolling gates are what make the challenge. The Jammer rig make that challenge more of an inconvenience, mwahahhaa! Until I use my rig on a door that leads to an area with only closed gates, then the inconvenience rises a touch. I check the map to see if I could have wiggled another way to the courtroom, and sure enough I could have, but I did not. Luckily the rig cooldown is kind on Standard difficulty. I am usually too busy watching my own behind to look at the dissolving corpse, so sorry about depriving you of those visuals. You'll just have to play to see it for yourself! I tend to go to the lit area first because ugh ew yuck light. I believe in saving the best for last; the magnificent darkness. Though the big grunt in the cramped corridors isn't ideal, it's a sight better than being seen! It would be too easy if the acid bucket was in a darkened place though so haha deal with it! The game never lets you get too comfortable where you are. Spawning Pusher right behind me while I was trying to listen out where the big grunt was is exactly what I expect from Red Barrels. Even though I have a clear shot to the acid, I take my time, check out the surrounding rooms, and try to find some tasty batteries and rig rechargers! Mmm. I do not want to crouch walk with the acid because walking is much faster. It is the best we can do since we must not run with acid, for it will spill on our fingies and fingies will be replaced with bones. The rolling gates are my friends during this trial and I never thought that would be true. I was going to take a moment to watch Coyle approach in the darkness, but it is usually never worth it, not even for a thumbnail. The run is too clean to throw it away for a gosh dang thumbnail! Love pointing at Coyle and cursing. Gotta be one of my favorite pastimes. I am fortunate enough to see the explosion of an over-eager Coyle walk into one of the mines I primed. What a dream. Coyle was really screaming all of his SOMEBODY lines this evening. Naturally one mine wasn't enough for my darling. I had to get him on TWO for maximum hilarity. Even though I have quieter jumping and running, he can still hear me in the dark. Tee hee, enjoy dummy! As ever, a photo finish! If I had eaten more batteries and all that such, I probably would've gotten a second level up, but it's alright. Just remember how important doing all those little things in the trials is, especially at lower levels, but still important at higher levels, too! Any step closer to Relapse is a worthy step.
