Hidden Club Stories explores the untold history of football clubs around the world. Football was never supposed to exist here. Above the Arctic Circle, where winter swallows the sun and summer never fully ends, Bodø/Glimt built a football club in conditions the game was never designed for. And yet, in the 2025–26 season, Bodø/Glimt did something no Norwegian club had ever done before. Playing in the Champions League for the first time in their history, they won three matches in a row — rewriting expectations of what a small, remote club could achieve on Europe’s biggest stage. But this story is not about one season. It’s about decades of endurance, a radical shift in mindset, and a club that learned how to survive long before it learned how to win. From years of obscurity, to a Europa League semi-final in 2024–25, to becoming one of the most uncomfortable opponents in European football. In this episode of Hidden Club Stories, we explore: how Bodø/Glimt turned isolation into an advantage why their success is rooted in identity, not coincidence and what this club represents for smaller teams across Europe Because sometimes, football finds a way to places where it was never meant to exist. Welcome to Hidden Club Stories, where every club carries a story.
