Vintage Kenner Y-Wing repair.

Oh boy, this repair job was not easy! Today I strip down, repair and restore a vintage Kenner Star Wars Y-Wing which I bought at the 'In The Toy Zone' toy fair last month. I was hoping for a simple repair job with this vintage Kenner Y-Wing, but the 40 year old plastic and complicated engineering inside proved to be quite taxing and required a lot of 'thinking' time. It was in pretty bad shape, with some stickers that don't belong, the landing gear is busted and the gun mechanism doesn't work, not to mention it's covered in 40 year old dirt and dust. So, in this video, I show: 1. How to remove all the screws and open the vehicle without destroying the original vintage stickers. 2. How the electronics, motor, sound and gearing work. 3. How to make a quick repair to the motor gearing system. 4. How remove the landing gear. 5. Weak points in the original design. 6. A possible way to repair the broken landing gear assembly.
