The church of the Holy Sepulchre is a church in the Christian Quarter of the old city of Jerusalem. According to the traditions dating back to the forth century, it contains the two holiest sites in Christianity, the city where Jesus was crucified along side the two thieves, at a place know as calvary or Golgotha. And Jesus' empty Tomb , where He is believed by Christians to have been buried and resurrected. The atmosphere inside the church is peaceful and contemplative, and the historical significance of that place is truly awe-inspiring. Throughout our visit, we learn about the rich history and culture of old Jerusalem and how it plays a central role in the three major Abrahamic religions. Judaism, Christianity and Islam .
