Have you ever been curious about what it’s REALLY like to live in short-term rentals full time? We’re finally sharing all of our Airbnb living secrets! Dustin, our toddler, and I have been living out of Airbnbs full time since the beginning of the 2023 ever since we sold 90% of our belongings, packed what we could fit into our Subaru Outback and left California. We have been staying in short term rentals for a few weeks to a few months at a time and exploring new places to potentially call home in the US Mountain States, specifically Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. We’ve reached the end of our Airbnb journey (for now 😝) and will soon be settling in NW Montana. We feel so much joy and confidence in our decision because we had the chance to legitimately live in so many places we had always dreamed of. For us, living out of Airbnbs turned out to an absolutely incredible experience, although, we did run into a handful of booking mistakes and not-so-great surprises along the way.
