Seattle PD investigate bomb threat near downtown FBI building

Seattle Police officers are investigating a bomb threat after a man claimed there was a bomb inside his truck which caught on fire outside the FBI building in downtown Seattle. On Sunday, hundreds of members of the Washington National Guard lined the State Capitol in Olympia. There wasn’t any violence at the capitol, as just one protester rallied outside the fences surrounding the capitol. Health officials in Oregon discovered this weekend the new variant of COVID-19 that is more contagious is officially in the Pacific Northwest, which is the last thing health experts wanted to see. A record surge in deadly drug overdoses in King County is worrying public health authorities. During a two-week period in late December, early January, there were more than 40 suspected or confirmed overdose deaths.
