(PX WELCOME) This gorgeous 2009 Scirocco is a sought after GT model with a high specification including a huge glass sunroof and a luxurious, full leather interior. The Scirocco is based on a VW Golf platform, but has a much wider, lower stance than both the Golf and its predecessors. It looks stunning with gorgeous 18" alloy wheels which fill the arches and add to the cars sporting stance. Inside, a generously equipped cabin that features climatic air-conditioning, a leather trimmed sports steering wheel and a full electrics pack. GT models are particularly sought after for their elevated specification. As a result the Scirocco has a full leather interior with heated front seats which are both comfortable and supportive. The great appeal of our Scirocco has to be that, all the style and performance does not come at a price. This is the 197bhp TSI model which offers exhilarating performance and a 146mph top speed - but it will also return a very impressive 39 mpg combined fuel economy - In fact it is no more expensive to run than a regular Golf. Performance is brisk with 0-60mph taking just 7 seconds and thanks to its lower, wider stance the handling is superb. The Scirocco has adjustable suspension damping with 2 settings, comfort and sports. It is certainly a lot more fun to drive than the equivalent Golf, with very little body roll and direct, communicative steering. With ABS brakes and ESP stability control the handling feels safe and controllable in all weather conditions. A whopping 280 n/m of torque provides the Scirocco with a tidal wave of mid range grunt which is perfect for safe overtaking, whilst the ratios on the 6 speed manual gearbox are well chosen for both performance and economy. Being based on a widened VW Golf floorplan certainly has its advantages in terms of space. The Scirroco has room for 4 adults and even a reasonable sized boot. It would certainly put rivals, such as the Volvo C30 to shame in both these areas. Whilst there is not as much rear headroom as a Golf, the Scirocco is still surprisingly accommodating compared with other coupes. Front seat passengers of all shapes and sizes will find it easy to get comfortable in the Sciroccos multi-adjustable sports seats. The 3 spoke sports steering wheel adjusts for both height and reach whilst the pedals are well positioned and offer excellent comfort. All the Sciroccos switchgear works with typical VW precision. I particularly liked the bluetooth connectivity for my mobile phone, and the iphone connector which allows you to play your favourite tracks from your phone or ipod. The whole car is extremely well thought out and it has aged extremely well, still seeming to be a fresh and modern design in 2025. Of course the great appeal of this car is that is manages to be a great all-rounder, being eye catching and fun as well as hugely practical. VW have kept all the positive aspects of their Golf and added a whole load of sex appeal with spoiling the original recipe. And VW are famed for building a quality car, so you can be assured that this car will still drive as new. Our Scirocco has only covered 79k miles, which is very low for a 2009 car - Of course with the private plate and such clean, modern looks, you could easily be forgiven for thinking its a lot newer than that! This cars overall condition is superb and the whole car looks and feels modern with no sign of any adverse wear or misuse. It rides very well, soaking road imperfections up with ease, and all the seats are comfortable yet supportive and the full leather interior has a high quality feel with tons of light being thrown in through that huge, electric glass sunroof. The desirable colour and specification certainly elevate this car above the standard model. With virtually unmarked bodywork and a smart, clean interior this has to be one of the cleanest examples anywhere in the UK.
