This episode explores the serous membranes that line body cavities, including the pleural (thoracic), pericardial (heart) and peritoneal (abdominal) cavities. Connecting mesenteries, such as the pulmonary ligament, plica vena cava, greater and lesser omentum, mesoduodenum, mesojejunum, mesocolon, duodenocolic fold, and ileocecal fold are also identified. These mesenteries and others, such as those of the reproductive organs, are also discussed in my videos regarding the specific organ systems.
