The design of rocking chairs continued to evolve, different materials such as wood, metal, plastic were used and new shapes and styles appeared to suit different tastes and needs. Today, rocking chairs are a popular part of many homes and public spaces. In some countries, you can also find a rocking chair in a geriatric clinic, and this is no coincidence. Elderly people suffering from Alzheimer's disease or other types of disabilities appreciate the calming but stimulating effects of regular rocking movement.
