During September, 2024, I ventured into the wild heart of Maharashtra—through the misty wetlands of Bhigwan, the lush canopies of Karnala, the lush green hills of Panchgani and the rolling grasslands of Saswad—to capture the vivid biodiversity that thrives just beyond the edges of our everyday lives. This cinematic wildlife film is a visual ode to nature’s palette—from the brilliant flash of the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher slicing through the green, to the earthy camouflage of the Painted Francolin. You'll catch fleeting glimpses of the elusive Rail Quail, the haunting eyes of the Eagle Owl, and the quiet nobility of Indian Foxes and Grey Wolves as they roam free across the plateau. Maharashtra’s topology shifts like a living canvas—from wetlands and forests to rocky hills and open scrublands—each teeming with life, texture, and sound. This film offers just a glimpse of what’s out there, but enough, I hope, to stir a sense of wonder, respect, and curiosity for the natural world.
