Today I cycled along the Lungomare promenade in Vlore, Albania — from the beginning of the seafront to Independence Square (Flag Square). It’s a beautiful Saturday and Albania is celebrating Summer Day (Dita e Verës), a traditional holiday. The Lungomare is full of families, children and people enjoying the warm weather. Many kids are dressed in festive and traditional clothes and there are cultural events near the former Naval Academy. In this video you can see real life in Vlore: cafes full of people, families walking along the sea, and the relaxed atmosphere of the city during a holiday weekend.
