PM Modi Speaks To UAE President After Drone Attacks; India Stands In Solidarity With UAE

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan following recent drone attacks on the UAE. PM Modi condemned the attacks and condoled the loss of lives, stating on Twitter that India stands in solidarity with the UAE in these difficult times. He also thanked the UAE President for taking care of the Indian community living in the country. PM Modi emphasised that India supports de-escalation, regional peace, security, and stability. The conversation comes amid escalating tensions in the region, with close to 95 lakh Indians residing across the GCC or Middle East. The UAE Ministry of Defence reported that missiles and cruise missiles were intercepted, though some breached defences, resulting in three fatalities and 58 minor injuries.
