Lady Macbeth is sleepwalking and is plagued by her conscience, haunted by the murders that she helped commit. As the Dr tries to help her, the army arrives at Burnam wood yet Macbeth shows no fear, believing he is safe due to the witches' prophecy. As the army begins to approach the castle, they hide behind braches, causing the wood to march towards Macbeth, as the prophecy stated. The battle begins and Lady Macbeth takes her own life, unable to live with what she had done. "Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player / That struts and frets his hour upon the stage." As the fighting continues, Macbeth and Macduff have their final face-off and the play comes to a close.
