It is with great pleasure that we reveal the judges final selection for the Lighting Design #40under40 of 2025. As usual the competition was incredibly close and those of you who didn’t make the final should be proud that you were nominated and please try again next year - the difference could come down to just one thing that you have done since your entry this time. Congratulations to all the winners and we are honoured to share them with you know and ask you to take a look at the reasons that they choose light as profession and a medium. They are many varied and inspiring reasons. It’s great to see that the future of this fantastic profession is being developed by an amazing bunch of motivated and passionate professionals. With a total of 354 nominations, 156 nominees from 33 countries submitted for the judges to consider and 40 winners have been chosen. We are pleased to share with you their names and congratulate them all on their achievements and aspirations. The lighting industry is in great hands. Everyone is invited to a celebration of 10 years of the 40 under 40 competition with a special session at Light + Building Frankfurt on 9th March from 4pm-6pm with past winners speaking on their passion for light. The session will start by honouring the 2025 winners and will be followed by drinks. We hope to see as many past winners as possible there.
