🔴 Murder Over Old Rivalry in Boparai Khurd Village | One Dead, Four Injured | Amritsar Breaking News | Punjab Politics Clash A violent clash took place last night in village Boparai Khurd, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Lopoke (Amritsar), where a long-standing political rivalry led to a deadly attack. According to initial information, one person was killed and four others were seriously injured in the assault. The deceased has been identified as Hari Singh (65), while Harjinder Singh, Satwant Singh, Lakhbir Singh, and Harpreet Singh (Happy) sustained severe injuries and were rushed to different hospitals in Amritsar. As per sources, the attackers are allegedly associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), while the victims are linked to the Congress Party. The conflict reportedly erupted around 9:30 PM, when a few youths were bursting crackers outside Harjinder Singh’s flour mill, triggering an attack by the rival group using sharp-edged weapons (kirpans, datars) and firearms including pistols and .315 rifles. Former sarpanch Kewal Singh Pehalwan, nephew of the deceased, said there was an old enmity between both sides, and that the attackers had earlier filed false FIRs against their group, leading to five members being jailed previously. Based on the statement of Jasbir Singh (son of the deceased), an FIR has been registered against 11 accused — including Ranjit Singh, Rashpal Singh, Ajmer Singh, Gurtaj Singh, Kashmir Singh, Ajit Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Avtar Singh alias Lali, Gurkamal Singh, and Bikramjit Singh.
