In a few months, Smuggle will partner with a socially responsible and LGBTQ friendly cannabis company, Green Box. Our co-founder, Renee Spears, meets with Adrian and Ryan to discuss their delivery and subscription box service that will carry cannabis flower and other supporting products. Raphael House is their non-profit beneficiary, which fights domestic abuse in Portland: http://raphaelhouse.com/ Green Box: http://pdxgreenbox.com/ SmuggleVision is sponsored by: http://smuggleportland.com/ Cannabis Lovers nationwide shop the best of Oregon: https://lovefromoregon.com/ 0:02 Green Box - cannabis boxes Today I'm meeting with Adrian and Ryan from Green Box. Our intention is to have Green Box do all of the delivery for our Smuggle store. We're setting that up now because they're a social, responsible company committed to supporting the community like we are, and especially supporting Raphael House, which is one of my favorite non-profits in Portland. 0:26 LGBT Community I also am excited to work with Green Box because they support the LGBT community like we do. It's important that we have a lot of diversity in this industry. 0:36 Loving It Well, good to see you. You too. You too. Your marketing has been fantastic. We have a new project that we're working on. Oh, what's that? We have a lesbian couple, gay couple and a straight couple. We gave them a couple bottles of Luminous Botanicals Cure-All, the one that you can eat, rub on and use sensual fun. We want to try to stick away from straight models. We want to be the first gay models as far as marketing sexual cannabis products. I love it. 1:06 The New Normal Clearly, in my family, with my son being gay and my mom being lesbian too, that's an important thing for me. We have done a similar type thing, but having women, and especially older women. Okay. Fifty year old, normal people. Normal people that look like us. Yeah. 1:20 Donating a Portion of Sales I wanted to set something up to where we have an ongoing donation to where every part of our box has proceeds go, a certain portion go to maybe providing a dinner or a night for a family at Raphael House, just so every box truly has a story. 1:38 Rose City Years ago with Rose City, how our donation program started was everybody in my family chose a non-profit for us to donate to. Okay. I like that. My mom's was Raphael House. That was 15 years ago. You're spreading the word out there. The people getting the box even have ... Oh, maybe they've never even heard of Raphael House before. Who's Raphael House? What is the story? What's going on? 1:58 Making Change It's really not the money. We're fortunate enough, we're abundant people. It's not about that anymore. It's about making change in our society and giving back. It has to start somewhere. It starts here. It starts in the coffee shop. 2:16 A different approach You guys are killing it. Every time I say, "Oh, you guys should check out Smuggle." I like the approach that you're taking, different from everything else I've ever seen. 2:26 Green Box Deliveries In just a few months Green Box will be making the deliveries for Smuggle Portland. We're so excited to be able to work with them. What's really cool is our business and world is really transforming because of a plant. How often does that happen?
