About two in 10 employees in Singapore who received phishing emails clicked on the links. This is almost double the global average, according to a report from a joint cybersecurity exercise by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). With local firms falling behind the rest of the world, the agencies want to boost their readiness for cyberattacks through training and more exercises. Kok Ping Soon, CEO of SBF discusses the cybersecurity exercise and why it is necessary to involve MINDEF in it. He also talks about how Singapore is lagging behind the global average and if this is a worrying statistic.
