UP ATS Busts Terror-Linked Conversion Racket | 2 More Arrested in Chhangur Syndicate Case | News9

In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad has arrested two more operatives — Sabroz and Shahbuddin — in connection with the Chhangur syndicate case. The arrests from Balrampur bring the total to 10 suspects across 6 states under the ambit of Mission Asmita. DGP Rajeev Krishna revealed that the syndicate, allegedly led by Chhangur Baba alias Jamaluddin, is involved in unlawful religious conversions, radicalisation, and suspected international terror funding. Investigations have revealed links to foreign funding from Canada, the US, London, and Dubai, with possible connections to ISIS, PFI, SDPI, and Pakistani terror networks. Young girls were allegedly lured through love jihad tactics and forced conversions.
