I finally Finished my pseudo-review of the Savage1's by Phil Calvert. These trucks are Phenomenal! I mention the details in the video captions, but for anyone wanting to know more that didn't bother to read the captions, here are the specifics relayed from Phil himself: "The hanger is machined form one solid block of aluminum. Normal TKP’s are usually made in a 2 piece construction.(Surfrodz). You can purchase the trucks separate from the motor mounts, if you have gear drives. One can adjust the mounts ever 2.36 degrees, and even forward mount the motors tucked under the board using the optional stabilizer bar. And the obvious: extremely stabile at high speeds, but still carve like double king pins. (If your bushing setup is correct)" Before adding anything further I need to mention that this was not sponsored. I did not receive any financial incentives and these trucks were paid for with my own money and the video was made without collaboration with any eskate or eskate component manufacturers other than to provide the truck manufacturer's description of the truck's physical features. I can personally attest that Phil's description of the carving and stability are completely accurate. The trucks look and feel like something you'd find on a tank except when it comes to handling and performance where they feel more like a Formula 1 component. I believe the trucks are still in somewhat of a development stage and he is actively working to resolve any suggestions for improvement that he may have received previously though they are still available for purchase from Phil. From my own experience, the only issues i had run into were regarding belt and wheel/hub compatibility and Phil was quick to provide answers to any questions I had. Being a DIY minded component, these weren't originally designed with mass production board OEM wheels/hubs in mind. However, Phil has worked to increase the range of wheels that are compatible wtih the trucks, so future units will likely work with your Cloudwheels or stock Hurricane, Titan, or other AT pneumatics. The hubs and tires featured in this video were a set of Newbees MI hubs and Meepo cyclone racing wheel tires and tubes.
