What’s good my beautiful family. 🤍 I hope you guys enjoy this episode of the Ramadan Series. Today we’re talking about nutrition — one of the most important parts of Ramadan, because the foods you choose directly affect your energy, your training, and your ability to show up spiritually. 1. most important point: your intention. Eating during Ramadan is not separate from your faith. It’s an act of worship. God has given us whole foods that nourish us, fuel us. Choosing foods that make you feel strong, energized, and clear-minded is part of honoring that. 2. planning in advance. Meal prepping, meat prepping, or simply writing out your meals ahead of time can completely change your Ramadan experience. When you plan ahead, you save time, reduce stress, and make it easier to stay disciplined instead of acting on impulse when you’re tired or hungry. 3. prioritizing the right foods — especially: • High fiber, complex carbs (oats, beans, lentils, sweet potatoes) • Protein (eggs, chicken, beef, fish,) • Healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, seeds, avocado) • Probiotics (Greek yogurt, kefir, laban, pickled foods) These help stabilize your energy, support your training, and keep you full longer throughout the fast. Some suhoor meal ideas: • Eggs or egg whites with ful (beans), hummus, olive oil, za’atar, and sourdough • Oatmeal or chia pudding with Greek yogurt, berries, maple syrup, and protein on the side • Cottage cheese with sourdough, raspberries, turkey bacon or chicken sausage, and pickled foods • Smoothie with Greek yogurt, nut butter, flax seeds, berries, cinnamon, and protein powder Fruits that are especially great during Ramadan: • Pomegranate • Watermelon • Berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) • Bananas Iftar meal ideas: • Lentil soup with grilled chicken and roasted vegetables • Salmon, sweet potatoes, and a large olive oil-based salad • Chicken or beef power bowls with rice or quinoa, hummus, and vegetables • Mediterranean plates with grilled protein, olives, labneh, and vegetables • Stews with beans, vegetables, and slow-digesting carbs Ramadan is a month of discipline, intention, and alignment. The way you nourish your body is part of that process. train with me throughout the month of ramadan for free on my app! https://www.upliftyou.com/ + so many step by step recipes to help you!
