The Power of Participation: An Exploration of Civic Learning in the Youth Development Space

Positive youth development models enhance the well-being of young people in New York and across the globe, and most also develop the civic learning of participants to at least some degree. Civic learning describes the development of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to engage effectively in civic and democratic life, today and in the future. Through arts, sports, leadership, and service programs young people are engaging with their communities and becoming a part of the solution for a better future. This webinar recording is for youth development practitioners (mentors, coaches, facilitators, teachers, etc.) who are interested in learning about approaches to intentionally embed civic learning into youth development programs.
