Stevens Pass | Kehr's Chair [1964-2023]

Kehr's Chair is a Riblet double. It replaced a rope tow in 1964, which opened up more terrain on Big Chief Mountain, in addition to Showcase. Kehr's uses a Riblet vault drive at the bottom, with tensioning on a carriage with a counterweight housing at the top. This lift features a large breakover with six towers, which are all connected, and share a single, very long Riblet "halo". Also, there's a tall unloading ramp, which is one of the easiest to unload at Stevens Pass. Just last summer of 2021, Towers 11-16 (the big breakover) received lifting frames manufactured by Doppelmayr, using a Garaventa design. The upgrade is very similar to the one Seventh Heaven received. Update: As of 2023, This lift has been replaced by a Skytrac fixed-grip quad.
