Vascular Patient Success Story: Patricia Morgan

In this video Patricia Morgan, an employee of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, talks about the problems she had with her right leg as a result of a blood clot. Since 1993, her leg progressively grew larger due to swelling to the point where she couldn't always wear shoes. This affected her ability to do her housekeeping job. Finally, in 2011, her primary doctor referred her to Dr. Rajabrata Sarkar, who recommended surgery to put a stent in her leg. On June 21, 2011, Morgan had the surgery and after she came home she noticed a dramatic improvement in her condition: she had no problems walking and her swelling was gone. In this video, Morgan discusses her experience and how grateful she is to Dr. Sarkar, who she says gave her a "new lease on life."
