BattleTech celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, but for 25 of those years, a good deal of the BattleMech designs were caught in a legal quagmire. Why did so many classic mechs of the game disappear? This is the story of the history of the BattleTech license, Harmony Gold, Robotech, and the Unseen.
