This video is where it all began – the very first Summit or Nothing South West Coast Path walk! Join Trev as he sets out on a stunning hike along the North Cornwall coast from Sandymouth Beach to Bude, passing through some of the most iconic scenery that this part of Cornwall has to offer. Growing up around Bude, this was Trev’s old stomping ground, and in this video he rediscovers it on foot, beginning his long journey along the 630-mile South West Coast Path. Along the way we explore: 🌊 Sandymouth Beach – dramatic cliffs, golden sands, and a classic start point for Cornwall hikes. 🏖️ Northcott Mouth, Crooklets Beach – quieter Bude beaches loved by locals, surfers, and walkers. 🏊 Summerleaze Beach and Bude Sea Pool – a unique tidal swimming pool built in the 1930s that’s still popular today. ⛰️ Compass Point (The Pepper Pot) – with panoramic views stretching as far as Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel (legendary home of King Arthur), and even Lundy Island on a clear day. 📡 A glimpse of the GCHQ satellite dishes at Morwenstowe, a landmark (and eyesore!) visible along much of the North Cornwall coast. This hike also marks the first time Trev used the Viewranger app, beginning his journey of logging hikes and training for bigger mountains like Scafell Pike in the Lake District.
