The New MC5 - Live at the Kramer Theatre, Detroit, MI, (August, 10, 1977) NOTE: Indeed singer Rob Tyner named this band "The New MC5" back in 1977 and would continue to keep using that name for this rock 'n' roll group for the next 3-4 years during their entire existence together. This band was never called "The Rob Tyner Band" back decades ago when they were playing together during the late 1970s. Now, why the CD release that came out of this show in 1999 was packaged and sold with the title "The Rob Tyner Band - Rock 'n' Roll People", that just is not an accurate name. I've recently had one of the original band members confirm this above, and I sure as Hell plan on sticking to it. Pretty much, people should always look history straight in the eye and tell it how it was, simple. Additionally, this performance at the Kramer Theatre in Detroit was their very first live show.
