The theme for this youth empowerment gathering is "Gidinawendimin - We are All Related" and includes Indigenous music, dance, cultural presentations, and guest speakers, including Survivors and Elders. PERFORMERS AND SPEAKERS INCLUDE: DJ Kookum: an internationally known First Nations DJ and multimedia maker from the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, based out of Vancouver, BC. Jully Black: Canada’s queen of R&B and soul, is an award-winning singer/songwriter, actress and 2021 Walk of Fame recipient. Aysanabee: an Oji-Cree multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer/songwriter. Zoey ‘Pricelys’ Roy: A Nehithaw-Dené Métis poet, educator, storyteller and activist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Survivors and Elders: Will speak about colonization, the legacy of residential schools and what you, as individuals and community members, can do to make change.
