Thanks to everyone who supports us by using our links. I had the opportunity to look at the full series of Spider Farmer quantum board LED grow lights over the last few days. I tested all 3 lights in the SF series of grow lights. This includes the Spider Farmer SF 1000, SF2000 as well as the sf4000. We tested the PAR at various hang heights for each and included a detailed PAR map of every light in the Spider Farmer grow light series. Based on the results we were able to calculate the efficiency of each unit at different heights and calculate a PPFD/j rating. We compare the ppfd per watt rating against the numbers from the manufacturer and the results were quite surprising. I was most surprised by how the sf4000 tested. All lights were tested in a grow tent best simulating real-world use conditions. I also checked the actual electrical wattage draw from the wall and checked the operating temperature of the SF lights after being on for several hours. They did tend to run on the warmer side of comparable indoor gardening products I believe is due to the moderately thin aluminum heat sink. In some cases, a fan would be recommended to ensure your garden space stays cool enough.
