Our family had an Amstrad CPC464 with green screen and no disk drive growing up - great machine. Hours spent on Combat Lynx and Thrust. {My hint for Combat Lynx: transport all the troops back to the main base and then just keep mining the area around it} I always liked the CPC664's keyboard and design but it was quickly replaced by the CPC6128 so it's now a rare machine. Managed to get my hands on a 664 but it was pretty grimy. This is a quick video showing how to remove the keycaps and then reassembling. I used a keycap puller and was careful not to stress the plastic keyboard frame too much. They keycaps will pull off, just be careful you don't break the plastic frame! I normally just use dish washing liquid to clean the keycaps but I decided on cream cleanser this time due to the amount of grime. Probably worth running the rubber foot of each plunger over some paper at the same time to freshen the contacts. If you happen to pull apart a 664's keyboard and find one gold-coloured spring, please do let me know if it was for the space bar or not? Thanks ;)
