2026 UPDATE: Since we shot this video, Rejoice has been serving as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman. She's an HM3. Although she enlisted for 5 years, she volunteered for an additional year. She will exit the Navy in January 2027 to finish her bachelor's degree in 2029 and attend medical school thereafter. When she graduates from medical school in 2033, she may reenlist as a doctor, but it's too early to commit to that. In this video, Rejoice Tapon describes her exploration of the four most popular US military branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. She dreamed of being a nurse. (She's now determined to become a surgeon). Therefore, she was mainly interested in the medical field. We hope this video will also be helpful for those who are interested in non-medical careers. 00:00 Why join the military 01:30 The Marines don't offer medical jobs 02:55 The uncertainty of getting a medical job in the Air Force 05:40 Waiting for medical jobs in the Army 09:10 Navy HM Corpsman job 11:11 Navy vs. Army medical jobs 12:40 Which branch is ideal? 13:20 How to prepare for the military 16:15 Recruiting Tactics 17:20 Next steps You'll learn: What's fantastic about the Marines. Who should join the Air Force? What funny cartoon sums up different military groups? Why the Army is the best for those who want a specific and guaranteed job. Why Rejoice chose the Navy. What's Rejoice's best tip for those who may want to enlist? What all military recruiters will tell you. The video cuts abruptly, prompting Francis to insert an addendum. This addendum shares information about Rejoice's shipping schedule to boot camp, the duration of her training, and her potential activities over the next 5 years. Admittedly, in this video, we don't consider the Coast Guard (Rejoice dislikes swimming) and Space Force (it lacks medical jobs). If you'd like, I can create a video on those branches later. Thanks to @NickyMGTV for inspiring Rejoice to become a Navy Corpsman and to make a video about it!
