Decklist: https://scryfall.com/@theeric/decks/2... Mono Red Burn with a higher curve to support chonky threats in the top end. OVERALL RECORD SPOILERS AHEAD 5 matches on video with an overall record of 4-1. Nice nice! Pretty good run here. Haven't really seen too many people trying out the evoke elementals in mono colored lists, but here we are. And I think it makes sense? Up front, RR for 3 damage at sorcery speed is fine, not fantastic. The benefit we gain from that, though, is a stronger top end in the late game, which allows us a bit more room to spend resources early killing off creatures with our burn spells instead of sending them all face. The RR cost did look awkward a couple times with Soulstone Sanctuaries, but it's probably worth that extra awkwardness. Maindeck Slagstorm looked pretty good, too. Both modes came up. Obviously we want it mostly to manage go-wide boards, but the added flexibility helps justify the maindeck slot here. Not much to say about the other cards here, mostly proven quantities. Let me know what you think, thanks for watching! If you'd like to see me build around a certain card or try out a new idea, leave a comment. Happy to explore new builds if I have the cards for it. If I don't have the wildcards and you'd like to help build up my MTGA collection or if you just like my content and want to support the channel, feel free to venmo me at venmo.com/theericmtg (@theericmtg). 4 Rare wildcards costs $10 or so, so trying out a bunch of different stuff can add up. No pressure! Just happy to have you watching. 1:46 Match 1: Izzet Prowess 6:32 Match 2: Izzet Frostcliff Siege 15:09 Match 3: Azorius Haliya 38:43 Match 4: Izzet Prowess 46:27 Match 5: Dimir Excruciator
