I had a wonderful time in Axos thanks to the delicious local food and amazing tours at reasonable prices: 1. Mum's Food – This local restaurant serves very tasty beef stew. It’s worth visiting for its nostalgic atmosphere and great food (the best I’ve had in Greece—only 7 euros for beef stew and a Greek coffee). However, parking is limited and the streets can be narrow. Driving in Crete is safe as long as you follow the speed limit.
