FIRE! Thunder will bring forth - DEATH! From the power of the Horde! You can follow me on twitter! I'm going to provide hints regarding the next Lore Facts to air a few days before it does. @Teeironor Transcript: #1: The Thunderlords were the greatest hunters in all of Draenor, using beasts and coordinated assaults to slay their prey, and might have been responsible for the disappearance of Draenor's massive Earth giants. The clan draws its name from an ancient chieftain who single-handedly slew a gronn at the pinnacle of Thunder Peak. #2: In the primary timeline, the Thunderlord clan was also led by Fenris the Hunter, who was revealed to be Durotan's eldest brother during Warlords of Draenor. Fenris personally joined the Horde invasion force during Beyond the Dark Portal, and assisted Ner'zhul's forces in obtaining the artifacts they sought, his advice and guidance saving the group on several occasions. Fenris then retreated to Draenor, and he's currently presumed to be deceased. #3: After the First War, the Warcraft 2 manual states that Doomhammer disbanded the Horde's Raiders, as they were mostly composed of Blackhand's loyalists. The Thunderlord clan, however, maintained the last of this force, and represented some of the best cavalry of the Horde. They supposedly had strong connections with the Blackrock and Lightning's Blade clans, and Doomhammer himself was said to have rose to power through the Thunderlord clan. #4: In the original Beyond the Dark Portal game, the Thunderlord and Bonechewer clans were eager to attempt to conquer Azeroth, emboldened by the successful return of the Bleeding Hollow Clan. Ner'zhul, however, did not share that vision, and the player was tasked with bringing those two clans into line. Later on in the game, the Laughing Skull clan made a pact with the Alliance expedition, trading the Book of Medivh in exchange for eliminating the neighbouring Thunderlords. #5: In ancient times, just as the orcs began gaining their freedom from the ogres, the Thunderlord shamans received the blessings of frost and fire from several shamanstones, which the orcs used in their liberation. The stones were left behind after the orcs fled, and were subsequently used by the Bloodmaul Ogres themselves. #6: One of the Thunderlord shamans at the time of the Horde's formation was Vorpil Ribcleaver, who became one of the first warlocks. He was eventually tasked by Gul'dan, along with the ogre Blackheart, to lead a group to investigate Auchindoun, and eventually triggered its explosion. Vorpil and his group survived in the ruins of Auchindoun and even temporarily rejoined the Horde during Beyond the Dark Portal, where they assisted Ner'zhul in his flight from the Alliance. The group, now known as the Cabal, also survived the destruction of Draenor, and continued to inhabit the Shadow Labyrinth of Auchindoun into Burning Crusade. #7: The Thunderlords today are nearly extinct, with the majority of their members having joined the Fel Horde. The last chieftain of the clan was Garm Wolfbrother, a Mag'har, whose spirit helped guide adventurers to Rexxar's lost family in the Blade's Edge Mountains.
