This genetic material acts like a rulebook that guides the cell’s behavior. When cells divide, this rulebook is copied. Sometimes, errors occur during copying. These are called genetic mutations. Dr Kammar explains how the immune system usually detects and removes abnormal cells. But when these faulty cells escape detection or fail to self-destruct, they begin multiplying without control.
