"Per Fernando" - Body Music day 2022 - Improvisation by Simone Mongelli

06/02/2022 During a few weeks' stay in a small village by the seaside, in the region of Liguria (Italy), I recorded this small solo improvisation, for the purposes of the "1st International Day of Body Music", as a very humble tribute to a music genius and a Body Music innovator: Fernando Barba, the founder of the outstanding Barbatuques ensemble. The improvisation is an interplay with the sound of the waves, through the mixed feeling of proudness for having met such an authentic soul, and sadness for such an unfair loss. It was meant to go live, but was finally recorded just because of the uncertainty of the weather forecast. The material was not edited.
