A Random, Slow Saturday in Da Nang | Expat Life, Street Food & Community Moments 🇻🇳 No script. No plan. Just life. There’s something special about a day with no plans. No schedule, no goals — just letting the city guide you. This video captures one of those slow, spontaneous Saturdays living as an expat in Da Nang, Vietnam, where the beauty is in the ordinary. It all starts with a quiet morning and the kind of stillness that makes you curious. We stumble upon a hidden golf practice net — tucked away on the 23rd floor of our apartment building — a strange little rooftop corner that feels like a secret above the city. Nothing fancy, but it made us pause. Wandering down into the city, we find ourselves inside a Vietnamese post office. It’s not glamorous, but that’s the point — it’s a glimpse into everyday life, the kind of thing you never see in travel guides. People lining up, packages moving, quiet conversations. Real life. Then comes food — it always does here. We sit down at a street food stall that’s actually listed in the Michelin Guide. No white tablecloths. Just sizzling pans, plastic stools, and the kind of flavor that hits deep. The kind of place where every bite reminds you why Vietnam is one of the best food countries in the world. A quick coconut coffee passes through the vlog too. Later, we pass through a small alleyway, waving to neighbors, exchanging greetings. These alley moments feel like home — quiet connections in a city that somehow always feels alive. And then, by total surprise, we end up dancing. A local Vietnamese dance class spills into the street, and the energy is impossible to ignore. So we join in. From hidden golf practice nets within our own building to breaking up fights in the alley ways and then ending the night dancing with a local Vietnamese dance class. This day was so wholesome. We left the house at nearly 3pm in Da Nang, Vietnam and STILL had such a blast. No tourist attractions, no friends, no point of interest pretty much and it was still a jam packed spontaneous day just interacting with the community around us in Da Nang. Life as an expat seems to be a dream so far. I feel so lucky we picked Da Nang as our first stop on this venture to leave England. In this video it's been 114 days since we left England on 27th November 2024 and it feels weird to say it's already 2025 and we're still abroad (even though it hasn't been a full year yet). #vietnam #danang #streetfood #expatlife
