After seeking solutions for housing their son when he returns from the Navy, Nate and Christina fell in love with movable tiny homes and set out to design a tiny home that even the average home dweller would live in. This McKenzie tiny home is the first model for Motley Construction LLC, owned by Nate and Christina Parker... Builder + Designer duo located in Coburg Oregon, and you will quickly see the thoughtfulness with every step of this build. First, much research was done to design this tiny home's exterior to conform to zoning language that was being adopted throughout the US stating that the exteriors couldn't have metal siding and must fit into most residential neighborhoods. With board & batten siding and vertical shiplap siding painted in SW Origami White, black vinyl double hung windows, and cedar accented porch, it is sure to fit into a variety of neighbors that allow THOW's as ADU's. Nate's focus was on quality building throughout and ensuring this home would be complimentary to the level of construction services Motley Construction offers their local clients. Building to NOAH ANSI+ standard and the IRC Appendix Q code for ADU construction was adopted. You will see this in the framing, professional electrical install, skylight egress, handrails, utility accesses and many other safety features in this tiny home. The interior is where Christina put her interior design experience into action with attention to function, spacial planning, material selection, lighting, and kitchen / bath design. Each space gives the feels of a cozy home retreat and although you are living with less, you feel like you have a higher quality of life. This tiny home is completed and ready for transport.
