We can grow and buy Carrots all year round in Australia, so it is not the first dehydrating project on the list, however if you have an abundance of Carrots, including fermented Carrots, then you may want to dehydrate some for later use. DEHYDRATING CARROTS PROCESS Wash Carrots, discard top and slice into 4mm pieces / over 1/8 inch Blanche Sliced or Diced Carrot for 2 minutes in boiling water Julienne 1 minute and Grated doesn't need blanching Place carrot on dehydrator trays in a single layer with room for air circulation Dehydrating Carrots Temperature - 50C / 125F Dehydrating Carrots Time - up to 15 hours (Guide Only) Carrots are dehydrated when shrunken up, leathery and no moisture inside.
