This is a video I shot of THE SLUGS opening for THE MELVINS at Storyville Jazz Hall in New Orleans on June 1, 1990. This was a HUGE DEAL for everybody in New Orleans. Jimmy Bower and Bill Bates made this show happen. Jimmy had been championing THE MELVINS for years and playing "Gluey Porch Treatments" or "Ozma" for anybody that was within earshot. And we all LOVED it! This gig and this era of THE MELVINS helped shape the New Orleans sound. So grab a beer or a bowl or both and set back and enjoy THE SLUGS opening up the show!
