It is also ideal for hard to reach areas where launching a boat is not an option. ( similar to the lines on a football field), line spacing will be determined by how large the area is and how much detail you need. I usually survey some additional lines in the perpendicular direction from the original lines. This ties the lines together and creates a more accurate finished product.
