This is my review of the EGO hedge trimmers, specifically the HT6500E and HT2600E, after using both over time. In terms of build quality, cutting performance, and reliability, there’s no real difference between the two models. Both are well-built, cut cleanly, and have performed very well for us across regular domestic hedge trimming. They’re powerful, quiet, and easy to use — exactly what you want from battery-powered hedge trimmers. We’ve had no issues with performance, and both models have proven to be reliable and durable. Once again, the only downside is the servicing side. If something does go wrong, needing to take them to an electrical distributor instead of a traditional mower or small engine repair shop can be frustrating, especially compared to brands with strong dealer networks. If you already own EGO tools, either of these hedge trimmers is a great choice, and you can confidently pick based on size or price rather than performance. If you’re starting from scratch and value easy servicing, it’s worth considering brands like Stihl.
