Here’s another look at the Vashon Arrival, a VFR procedure at Boeing Field that’s assigned to traffic inbound from the west when runways 32 are in use. I’ve included instrument overlays and a replay of the flight track and traffic created at FlySto.net. The Vashon Arrival is a challenging procedure, because you must remain below the Class B airspace for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and fly a close-in downwind over the Duwamish River to remain in a narrow corridor between the Seattle Class B and Renton Class D airspace. On this day, Boeing Tower cleared me to land behind a Boeing 737, so I slowed early to create space and stayed high on final to remain above its wake turbulence.
