Prosecutors cut away a section of pipe thought to be the source of a propene leak that triggered the deadly gas explosions in Kaohsiung last week. The pipe, managed by LCY Chemical Corp., is corroded and a hole is evident, though further analysis is needed before any definitive answers can be obtained. Workers cut away a 2-3 meter section of LCY Chemical’s 4-inch diameter pipe.
